Lionel Messi has singled out Sergio Ramos as the adversary who stirred the strongest emotions in his illustrious career. The Argentine superstar, who encountered Ramos numerous times during their tenures at Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively, reflected on their intense encounters in a recent interview with Abitare.
“We had many clashes with Sergio Ramos: how many times did I argue…He is the player who made me feel the most angry. Then we were team-mates, but we always clashed in the Clasico: they were intense matches,” Messi revealed.
Their rivalry on the pitch, marked by fiery confrontations in the high-stakes El Clásico fixtures, eventually gave way to a surprising twist when Ramos joined Messi at Paris Saint-Germain.
