The Deputy Spokesman of the House of Representatives, Hon. Philip Agbese, has empowered another group of 60 youths from the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo federal constituency, also known as Enone, with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills and laptops.

The beneficiaries of this second batch received brand-new laptops, additional gadgets, and stipends to assist with logistics.

During the ceremony for the second batch of the Agbese ICT Empowerment Programme in Otukpo on Friday, the coordinator, Hon. Cletus Emoche, highlighted that, in addition to the ICT empowerment scheme, the lawmaker is undertaking various projects across the Enone constituency.

He urged the beneficiaries to utilize the skills and gadgets they have received positively and to refrain from engaging in criminal activities.

“If you’re from Apa-Agila, you’ll know that Hon. Philip Agbese recently distributed textbooks in the area. He has also installed solar streetlights in Itabono 1, 2, and Ehaje 2. Currently, streetlights are being installed in Ekile and Orokam 2 and 3.

“Additionally, a Federal Medical Centre is being constructed in Efekwo. Hon. Agbese has some confidential information regarding this project, but I cannot share it at the moment. However, when completed, it will be a facility that meets national standards.

“He is also working on an ultramodern health centre in Utonkon. Hon. Agbese is not competing for attention with anyone; he simply wants to contribute without seeking recognition. The beneficiaries of the ICT Empowerment Programme come from different political backgrounds. I encourage you to use the skills and equipment you’ve acquired for legitimate businesses. Please, do not misuse them for cybercrime,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Comrade Che Rex expressed appreciation to Hon. Agbese for his innovative gesture.

He noted that this was the first time Enone would experience such an innovative project.

Rex urged the people of Enone to vote for Agbese in the upcoming 2027 elections, so he can continue his good work.

“On behalf of my fellow beneficiaries, I would like to thank Hon. Agbese Philip, the member representing the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, for this innovative project. It is the first of its kind in Enone. I urge Enone people to reelect Hon. Agbese in 2027 so that we can continue to enjoy the benefits of democracy,” he stated.

A total of 120 youths have benefited from the Agbese ICT Empowerment Programme, with another 60 set to benefit from the third batch scheduled for next month.
