‘I’m single now’ – Annie Macaulay confirms separation from 2Baba

Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has officially reverted to her maiden surname, announcing that she has parted ways with her estranged husband, singer Innocent Idibia, aka 2Baba.

While presenting the award for “Afrobeats Single of the Year” at the 17th Headies Awards ceremony, held at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos on Sunday, the movie star declared that she is now single.

“I’m single now… It’s Annie Macaulay, not Annie Idibia,” she declared, eliciting loud cheers from the audience.

“Big Baller” by Flavour won the Afrobeats Single of the Year award, beating out other top hits.

Annie had the honour of presenting the award which was received by reality star Whitemoney on behalf of the singer.

Recall that in January, 2Baba announced his split from Annie Macaula. Weeks later, he proposed to Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru in a moment captured in a viral video.

Consequently, Annie returned to social media using her maiden name, introducing herself as “Annie Uwana Macaulay.”
