Gunmen Abduct Two University Students in Benue State

The spokesperson for the state command, SP Catherine Anene, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, said the students were abducted at about 11 pm on Saturday.

Two female students of Joseph Sarwuan University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State, have been kidnapped by gunmen.

“The report we heard was that the incident happened along North Bank/Uniagric Road, Saturday night at about 11 pm,” she said.

According to Anene, the suspected kidnappers blocked the road, attacked and took the victims before the security operatives could arrive at the incident.

The PPRO said both the family and the school authority had notified the command and investigation into the matter was ongoing.
