DrLaff Albert Ijuo Set to Attempt Guinness World Record for Longest Stand-Up Comedy Show by an Individual

In a groundbreaking move for the African comedy scene, DrLaff Albert Ijuo, a distinguished comedian and entrepreneur, has received official clearance from Guinness World Records to attempt the Longest Stand-Up Comedy Show by an Individual. This remarkable feat is set to take place from December 1st to December 3rd, 2024, at Bannex Mall, Opposite Maroko Police Station, Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Currently, the record stands at 40 hours and 8 minutes, held by American comedian David Scott, popularly known as “The Midnight Swinger.” DrLaff, a native of Oju, from the Igede tribe in Benue State, aims to shatter this record by performing for an astounding 50 consecutive hours, making him the first African comedian to attempt such a monumental challenge.

“My reason for engaging in this adventure is to raise $1 million to build a talent hub called Talent City Naija (TCN), where we will have young, gifted Nigerians live together, work together, affect the world together, and earn a good livelihood. We intend to make everything they need to unravel their full potential available to them,” DrLaff shared passionately.

This visionary hub will provide young talents with the resources, mentorship, and infrastructure needed to unlock their full potential and thrive in various industries, from entertainment to technology.
