Accounts Officer at SOBIC and Company MFI

SOBIC and Company is a rapidly expanding, opportunity-creating, and customer-focused microfinance Institution (MFI) in Nigeria. A member, of the Association of Non-Bank Microfinance Institutions of Nigeria (ANMFIN), the company registered in July 2008 with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with head office located at Ibadan having severalbranches across the states.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accounts Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities

Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
Provide input into department’s goal setting process
Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
Assist with tax audits and tax return
Plan, assign and review staff’s work
Support month-end and year-end close process
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
Liaise with our Financial Manager and Accounting Managerto improve financial procedures.

Requirements

Applicants must have a B.Sc or HND qualification in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration &,Economics
Applicants must be ready to stay within Ibadan
Applicants must possess computer literacy skills.

Salary
N70,000 monthly.
