Job Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager for our hotel in Owerri, Imo State.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep, repair, and efficient operation of the hotel’s facilities, equipment, and systems.
The individual should have a strong understanding of building systems, be hands-on, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently. This role requires someone living in or near Ahiazu, Imo State, for easy commuting.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of hotel facilities and identify maintenance needs.
Oversee and perform repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Maintain hotel grounds, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Manage preventive maintenance programs and ensure timely servicing of equipment.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs when necessary.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Keep records of maintenance schedules, equipment repairs, and supplies.
Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-saving measures.
Train and supervise maintenance staff or workers as required.

Qualifications

Technical certification or diploma in facility management, electrical engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility or maintenance management.
Reside within Imo State, preferably in Ahiazu or nearby areas, to ensure easy commuting.

Other Requirements:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues promptly.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
Flexibility to work on weekends or outside regular hours if needed.

Salary
N55,000 per month.
