‘Men in this generation act like princesses’ – Toke Makinwa

Actress and media personality, Toke Makinwa has claimed that a lot of men in the present generation have lost their masculinity.

She made the claims while discussing nowadays men’s approach to relationships with reality star Beauty Tukura in a recent episode of her podcast, Toke Moments.

She claimed that men in the present generation act like princesses in relationships and even compete for attention with their partners.

Toke: “Men in this generation act like princesses. Most of them want to be chased.

Beauty: “They are queens….”

Toke: “You will see a man playing phonecards with you. I’m just like, I don’t have time for all of these.”

Beauty: “Or is it the one that’s dragging with you? You know how you can just do shakara like, I won’t call my man? He won’t call you, too. That’s the worst o!”

Toke: “And when you ask why didn’t you call me, he will be like, why didn’t you call me?”

Beauty: “Like who is doing the chasing?”

Toke: “I missed those day when you stand outside my door with a boom box on your shoulders.”

Beauty: “I missed those days when you block a man from calling or texting you and they are sending you emails.”

Toke: “I missed the days when they write handwritten love letters and they spread it with perfume and say, ‘Hi, from the street of beauty.’ I loved it.”
