Playing for Nigeria big turning point in my career – Ademola Lookman

Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman, has said ditching England for Nigeria was a big turning point in his career.

The 27-year-old winger said he has been having a fruitful career since he started representing the Super Eagles.

Lookman said he and his Super Eagles teammates have achieved a lot together and the team has great growth potential.

“Playing for Nigeria was a big turning point in my career. Ever since I donned the Super Eagles’ jersey, it [my career] has been fruitful,” he told Sporty TV.

“We’ve been able to achieve a lot together as a team and we’re still growing as a team. The relationship among the players is very special. I think we showed that at the last AFCON. We got to the final but unfortunately, we came out short. But the foundations are now and it’s a fantastic feeling to be part of the team.”
